Notifications
SkillBridge notifies you in-app when something relevant to you happens — no email required.
What triggers a notification
- Registration reviewed — your registration is approved, rejected, or waitlisted
- Team assigned — a coordinator assigns you to a team
- Team removed — a coordinator removes you from your team
- Event cancelled — an event you registered for is cancelled
- New registration submitted — for organization admins/coordinators, when a volunteer registers for one of their events
- Registration withdrawn — for organization admins/coordinators, when a volunteer withdraws from one of their events
- Evaluation completed — a coordinator finishes your post-event evaluation
- Timesheet reviewed — a coordinator validates or rejects your logged hours
- Manual hours submitted — for organization admins/coordinators, when a volunteer logs hours manually
- Organization role changed — an org admin changes your role within the organization
- Removed from organization — an org admin removes you as a member
- Shift assigned — a coordinator assigns you to a shift, or the auto-distribute tool matches you to one
- Shift removed — a coordinator removes you from a shift
- Shift updated — a shift you were assigned to was edited (this also unassigns you from it — check the event's shifts for a replacement)
- Shift cancelled — a shift you were assigned to was deleted
Viewing your notifications
Click the bell icon in the top header to see your most recent notifications and how many are unread. New notifications appear instantly while you're using the app, without needing to refresh the page.
Click View all from the dropdown to see your full notification history on the Notifications page, where you can scroll back through older notifications.
Marking notifications as read
Clicking a notification marks it as read and takes you to the related event. You can also click Mark all as read to clear the unread count in one step.
Deleting notifications
From the Notifications page, click the trash icon next to a notification to remove it permanently. You'll be asked to confirm before it's deleted.
